Who are the Baby Boomer Professionals?

We are a nationwide group of professional baby boomers  connecting, sharing and learning about what concerns us, while offering opportunities to enjoy the journey of life!

    Our beginning was modest.  It was just a group of four professional baby boomers sharing and networking with each other.  We consoled one another during deaths, we celebrated when there was a birth (child or grandchild), we counseled each other during divorces and breakups, we danced at each other's weddings, we supported one another during medical crisis, we encouraged one another during hard times, we offered advice during career transitions, we played matchmaker, we networked during business ventures, we attended seminars on retirement, we helped care for aging parents, we began traveling and searching for fun & relaxing things to do.  These situations helped to formulate a vision by our founder, Antoinette Carr, thus, The Baby Boomer Professional's Organization was born.

     While we loved and respected other generations, our desire was to connect with individuals that shared the values and experiences that we shared. Throughout our journey, we noticed that most organizations and events catered to the younger crowd (generation X) or the older crowd (seniors), so we decided to make our presence known since there are so many professional babyboomers (the crunch generation) in the world.  

With the support of one another, we felt empowered, we started to enjoy life a lot more and began dancing like nobody's was watching!


We are now the Baby Boomer Professionals hundreds strong, nationwide and growing!

What services do we offer and what is our organization’s goal?

We offer information and services to baby boomer professionals tailored made to their needs. We also offer numerous opportunities for babyboomers to connect with fellow boomers to establish a professional partnership as well as social relationships across the nation. Our main goal is to advocate and be a voice for the “sandwich” generation and make the importance of their presence known. 

We must demonstrate how important the "crunch generation" really is.
 
How are we accomplishing that?

We are accomplishing that goal by being there for you during every step of this journey called life:
 
-Whether you are caring for a parent, child or grandchild. 
-Whether you are transitioning into a new career or about to retire. 
-Whether you are experiencing a life threatening illness.
-Whether you are getting married or going through a divorce. 
-Whether you are searching for a lifetime mate or just lost one.

Where and how do we obtain our resources?

Our resources come from numerous areas.  We collect annual dues, solicit sponsorships, apply for grants and host annual events throughout the year to fund our cause.
